Empowering Women Through Comprehensive Care

What is Our Intensive Outpatient Program in San Diego?

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers thorough and understanding care for women facing addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our mission is to provide high-quality, individualized treatment that caters to the specific needs of each woman. Our outpatient rehab services can be balanced with other obligations, such as work or school. The program is specifically designed to support women in attaining long-term sobriety and reclaiming control over their lives.

A TAILORED APPROACH

Benefits of Our San Diego IOP

Because there are fewer hours of treatment in our IOP programs, it is essential that we customize them to each client's specific needs. Based on their drug of choice and any co-occurring mental health conditions, our treatment team works with the individual to design an outpatient rehab plan that not only fits into their schedule but also treats them—body, mind, and soul.
At Worthy Wellness, our San Diego Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers numerous benefits tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients:

Our IOP provides a flexible treatment option for individuals who may not require the level of intensity offered by our PHP program in San Diego. Clients can maintain their daily responsibilities such as work, school, or family commitments while still receiving comprehensive care.

Despite its flexibility, our IOP maintains a structured treatment schedule, ensuring that clients receive the support they need to navigate their recovery journey effectively. With group therapy sessions and individual counseling, clients benefit from consistent guidance and encouragement.

For individuals transitioning from our PHP program or other levels of care, our IOP offers a seamless continuum of care. Clients can maintain the progress they’ve made while gradually reintegrating into their daily lives with the ongoing support of our experienced team.

Group therapy sessions within our IOP provide a supportive environment where clients can connect with others who are facing similar challenges. Peer support fosters a sense of camaraderie, validation, and understanding, reducing feelings of isolation and promoting recovery.

Our IOP curriculum includes evidence-based interventions and skill-building activities aimed at equipping clients with practical coping strategies and life skills. Clients learn to manage triggers, regulate emotions, and cultivate healthy habits that support long-term recovery.

In addition to therapeutic activities, our IOP encourages clients to engage with their community through outings, volunteer opportunities, and participation in local events. Community engagement fosters a sense of belonging and purpose, enhancing overall well-being.

Our women’s drug rehab recognizes the importance of family support in the recovery process. Our IOP program offers family therapy sessions and educational resources to involve loved ones in the healing journey, strengthen relationships, and promote a supportive home environment.

Even after completing our IOP, clients have access to ongoing support and resources through our alumni program, outpatient services, and community referrals. We are committed to empowering individuals to maintain their recovery and thrive beyond treatment.

Emotionally Focused Work in Our IOP

When seeking treatment for mental health or addiction, complex emotions arise that need to be addressed. These emotions, such as fear, guilt, shame, anxiety, and grief, are intertwined with addiction and can impact individuals' recovery journey. It's important to recognize that emotional suffering can affect individuals even without substance use. By focusing on these intricate emotional dynamics, our intensive outpatient program in San Diego can provide holistic support for understanding, managing, and healing from these emotions, fostering lasting recovery and overall well-being.

Levels of Care

What’s the Difference Between a Partial Hospitalization Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program?

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and IOPs are both outpatient rehab programs that provide a structured schedule of programming. Both programs feature a range of therapies designed to support your recovery. However, these two programs offer different levels of support. A PHP is a step up in care from an IOP. PHPs are generally more intensive, requiring more days of treatment a week with more hours of programming each day. This level of care may be more suitable for those who need more support or are struggling with a more severe addiction.
An IOP, on the other hand, offers a reduced schedule while still providing a high level of care. An IOP might meet for three days a week instead of five, for example, and each day of programming may consist of three hours of care instead of six. This allows for greater flexibility in the programming schedule, making it easier to fit treatment in alongside other obligations.
