Having honed his skills through varied experiences, Scott has served as a pivotal figure at a community hospital as a skilled social worker. Furthermore, he held the esteemed position of clinical supervisor for North County Drug Court for an impressive span of 11 years. This wealth of hands-on experience has culminated in his ability to provide invaluable clinical supervision for interns pursuing careers as Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.
Dr. Seaman’s academic journey culminated in a dissertation titled “Positive Optimism in the Treatment of Substance Use Disorder.” Scott’s therapeutic philosophy revolves around facilitating the exploration and enhancement of clarity and insight. His ultimate aim is to guide clients organically towards increased stability, resilience, and personal empowerment, ultimately enabling them to flourish within their relationships, families, and wider communities.

Scott, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, brings over three decades of expertise to Worthy. His distinguished career is dedicated to addressing Substance Use Disorders and Co-occurring Disorders with a unique focus. Employing a diverse range of treatment strategies, including psycho-dynamic therapies, cognitive behavioral therapies, family system theories, and positive psychology methodologies, Scott has established himself as a true specialist.
